Aura Prompter – Privacy & Chrome Web Store Compliance Policy

1. Single Purpose Statement

Aura Prompter has a single, clearly defined purpose: to help users optimize AI prompts and optionally store selected AI conversation context for future reuse. The extension does not include unrelated functionality such as advertising injection, browsing modification, tracking, cryptocurrency mining, or affiliate link manipulation. All data access is strictly limited to delivering this purpose.

2. Where the Extension Operates

Aura operates only on the following domains:

• https://chatgpt.com/*
• https://perplexity.ai/*
• https://gemini.google.com/*

It does not request or access <all_urls>. It does not access arbitrary websites.

3. How the Extension Interacts With Pages

When a supported AI platform loads, Aura:

• Injects user interface buttons near prompt input fields
• Uses a limited MutationObserver to detect when prompt fields are rendered
• Positions interface elements for user-triggered actions

The extension does not:

• Modify AI-generated responses
• Monitor browsing activity
• Record background activity
• Transmit data automatically
• Capture conversation content without user action

4. When User Data Is Accessed

User data is accessed only when the user explicitly clicks:

• “Optimize Prompt” button
• “Store Memory” button (Pro users only)

No background collection occurs. No automatic scraping occurs. No content is transmitted prior to user interaction.

5. Data Collected

A. Authentication Data

Aura may collect the following authentication-related data:

• Session cookies from auraprompter.com
• User account identifier
• Subscription tier (Free or Pro)

Purpose: authenticate users, authorize access to Pro features, and secure API requests.

B. User-Generated Content (User-Initiated Only)

When the user clicks an Aura action button, the current prompt or selected conversation text may be transmitted to:

For Pro users, selected messages may be stored to enable contextual memory features. For Free users, no persistent memory storage occurs.

6. Data Storage & Infrastructure

Data processing and storage may occur through:

• Aura backend (api.auraprompter.com)
• Supabase (secure database infrastructure)
• AI model providers selected by the user

All communications use HTTPS encryption. Stored data is logically separated by user account. Access is restricted to authorized systems only.

7. Limited Use Compliance Statement

Aura Prompter complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• User data is used only to provide and improve Aura’s prompt optimization and contextual memory functionality.
• User data is not sold.
• User data is not used for advertising.
• User data is not used for credit scoring, lending, or profiling.
• User data is not transferred to data brokers or advertising platforms.
• User data is transferred only when necessary to provide the extension’s core functionality, comply with applicable laws, protect against abuse or fraud, or in the event of a merger or acquisition with user consent.

Humans do not read user content except with explicit user consent, for aggregated and anonymized analysis, for security investigations, or when required by law.

8. What We Do NOT Collect

Aura does not:

• Collect browsing history
• Track users across websites
• Capture keystrokes outside supported domains
• Modify third-party ads
• Inject affiliate links
• Mine cryptocurrency
• Serve advertisements
• Access financial or health data
• Access unrelated website content

9. User Control & Consent

Users:

• Must explicitly click to process content
• Can choose whether to store memory
• Can delete stored memory
• Can delete their account
• Can uninstall the extension at any time

If Pro memory is enabled, this functionality is clearly described in the product listing and user interface.

10. Data Retention

Free Users: no persistent storage.

Pro Users: data is retained while the subscription is active. Users may delete memory at any time and may request account deletion via support@auraprompter.com.

11. Security Practices

Aura implements the following security practices:

• HTTPS encryption
• Authenticated API communication
• Secure database infrastructure (Supabase)
• Restricted backend access controls

Authentication credentials are not publicly disclosed. Sensitive data is not exposed.

12. No Deceptive Behavior

Aura:
